Arm and Leg Pain

Stretching The shoulder and hip joints are two of the most mobile and frequently used joints in the body.  They are also a frequent place in the body for injury and pain.  The actual cause of arm and leg pain can be hard to self-diagnose.  An obvious injury or event – dislocating while playing sports, pinching a nerve after sleeping in an awkward position, or stress from repetitive use at school/work – means identifying the source is simple.  Pain that develops slowly, overtime and without a specific event or accident may require a thorough assessment to determine the source.

While there are a number of possible sources of arm and leg pain, misalignments or subluxations of the vertebrae in the neck and lower back are responsible for the pain the majority of the time.  If the spaces where the nerves leave the spine become narrowed due to the vertebrae or disc being out of position, the nerve can become irritated and pain can be felt down the entire nerve path.  This means, injuries or misalignments to the vertebrae can create pain anywhere along the entire length of the arms and legs.

If you are experiencing arm or leg pain, call our office today.  After an examination, advanced imaging, and review of your medical history, Dr. Rob Cartwright can understand the root cause of your pain.  Using non-invasive and carefully applied adjustments, Dr. Cartwright can gently re-position your vertebrae providing you instant and long-term relief.
